This Sunday, December 21, we will worship together with Iglesia Emanuel in a bilingual Advent celebration. Music from both communities and a potluck lunch to follow. All are invited to share in the joy!
Christmas Eve – 7pm Lessons and Carols
Celebrate the stories and lift voices in song as we worship the newborn King who is God With Us. We will share communion and end with songs by candlelight. A one-hour, child-friendly service.
**Note on parking: Like the first Christmas, this service will be surrounded by a measure of chaos as we will also be serving families a community Christmas dinner through our food pantry. Please plan to park on side streets in the surrounding community, as our parking lot will be full.
Weekly Worship at 10am
Durham Church is a multi-generational worshiping community desiring to reflect the diversity of our city, live in solidarity with vulnerable people, and serve college students and our neighbors. At the heart of our congregation is shared life with our partner church, Iglesia Emanuel. Emanuel is a thriving Hispanic congregation with a music academy and food pantry that serves meals weekly.
At Durham Church, we believe that worship, friendship, and service are essential to the Christian life. So if you’re in Durham, we’d love to follow Jesus with you. If you are interested, contact our pastors Franklin and Amanda to discover ways to join with us.
