Durham Church
Worship: 9:30am. Livestream: 10:00am.
Durham Church is a Presbyterian (USA) congregation living in covenant partnership with Iglesia Presbiteriana Emanuel. Our little flock is home to people of all abilities. We belong to one another as rich, poor, Black, white, Hispanic, Asian, queer, straight, conservative, and liberal.
Love one another (and everyone else). We believe the church is called to mutual love and radical interdependence. We also believe the church exists for the world. Loving the world means not accepting the unacceptable. The heart of our witness to Jesus Christ is where the love of God in the church spills over into the world as action.
We believe the God of Israel raised Jesus from death. We believe the Holy Spirit draws people into the life of God. Doubting is human. Faith is a gift. We allow the Bible to surprise us. We live by the story it tells of God's grace, mercy, and love.
A team of elders leads our congregation with our pastor, Franklin Golden, a former theater producer and part of the group that planted Durham Church in 2012. We also have a team of dedicated internet specialists and profreaders who keep our website on the cutting edge of design and technology.
We gather Sunday mornings at 2504 N. Roxboro Street. We'd love to welcome you. Email or leave a text/voicemail at 919-886-4351.
We are grateful for the financial support of members and friends. One-time and recurring gifts can be made here.
